and adding suffixes. Read daily. Test
Mon. May 14 and Final test on Tuesday, May
22.
Arithmetic -
We will review graphing, money and measures.
We continue working with story problems.
Help child memorize math facts. Test
Wednesday, May 23 (final).
Writing -
Reading - Please take time to listen
to your child read. Encourage smooth
blending. Review sight words.
Health - We are learning
about playground safety. This week we
also have a visitor sharing information on
bullying.

First Grade Supply List for 2011-2012 School Year
*Each individual item needs to be labeled with the
child's name - initials are fine on crayons, etc.
Bible - children's edition preferred
1 Pencil Box
4 or more #2 Pencils
1 Package of Extra Erasers (any size)
1 Pack Washable Markers - Basic 8 colors only
1 Box Crayons
Colored Pencils - Basic 8 colors only
1 Bottle Elmer's White Glue (4 oz)
4 Glue Sticks
Ruler that measures inches and centimeters
4 Folders with pockets
Child Scissors - I prefer Fiskars or Academics for
kids
4 Tennis Balls - precut a small X for chair legs in
each ball
Please also supply for the classroom - no need to label:
2 boxes of tissues
1 box of Ziploc style bags (quart or gallon)
1 roll of paper towels
1 container of disinfecting wipes
1 bag of individually wrapped small candies (no gum)
2 pkg. Wide Ruled notebook paper - 150 count
1 pkg. assorted color construction paper
